A BROMSGROVE group dedicated to promoting interest in the written and spoken word is inviting people to its next event.
Words has, since being formed in 1979, annually presented a programme of lectures and performances by writers, dramatists and poets, whose work concerns the development of language.
This year’s season of events continues with an evening featuring poet Alice Oswald, who has written six collections of poetry.
Alice has written award winning poetry, and the current poet laureate has compared her work to Ted Hughes.
The evening is taking place on Friday, April 19, from 8pm, at The Artrix, in School Drive.
Tickets cost £12, students £6, which are available from the Artrix box office on 01527 577330 or visit artrix.co.uk.
Alternatively, call 01299 403112 or visit bromsgrovewords.com.
