RESIDENTS are being invited to a special concert at Bromsgrove’s Artrix.

Organised by charity Aspie, a social self help group for adults with Asperger’s in Worcestershire, the show features pianist Duncan Honeybourne.

Mr Honeybourne, a patron of the charity, will be performing as well as talking about his experiences.

He was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome in 1999, and has become well known nationwide as a thought-provoking and entertaining lecturer on his experience of life on the autistic spectrum.

He graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire with First Class Honours and many prizes, and subsequently received the honorary award of HonBC from the Conservatoire.

A spokesman from the charity said: “The aim is to give people the opportunity to hear a very gifted young man play some wonderful music and also promote understanding of Asperger’s in an engaging way.”

The concert is on Saturday, July 27 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £12 (£10 concessions) from the box office on 01527 577330 or artrix.co.uk.

All proceeds from the night will go to Aspie.
