A TOWN golf centre is holding an open day this Sunday, September 15.
The free event at Bromsgrove Golf Centre, in Stratford Road, includes a variety of family friendly attractions and entertainment.
Among the golf related activities are tri-golf for ages four to six, putting competitions, nearest the pin, a beat the pro challenge and a get into golf coaching session.
Paul Barrington, the former world trick shot champion, will be performing.
A photography exhibition will give visitors the chance to learn about the history of the centre, from its early days as a pig farm to the completion of the range and the introduction of the first nine holes, then the full 18 hole course.
Other attractions on the day include a bouncy castle, face painting, a pork roast and BBQ, afternoon teas, a cake stall, a wedding fair and an all day bar selling real ales.
Adam Morris, from the centre, said: “The fun open day serves to showcase what facilities the centre has to offer to local residents, local businesses and community groups as many do not realise that the centre is open to all.”
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Golf for Disabled Children Appeal. Launched by the centre, the appeal provides an opportunity for disabled children at the county’s special schools to have a go at golf.
The event runs from 10am until 5pm.
For more details call the centre on 01527 575886.
