Police investigate burglary and attempted burglary in Barnt Green

BROMSGROVE police investigating a burglary and attempted burglary in Barnt Green need the help of the public.
A door was kicked in at a property in Cherry Hill Drive at around 5.15pm on Sunday, September 8.
The offenders are believed to have fled after being disturbed by an alarm.
Police are attempting to trace a white woman, in her 40s, who was walking in Cherry Hill Drive at the time and told a neighbour she had seen three people running away.
Investigating officers hope she may have information which could assist the inquiry.
Police are also appealing for information about a burglary in Blackwell Road, Barnt Green, between 3.50pm and 7.15pm, the same day.
In the incident a window was smashed and items were taken including an engraved solid silver trophy cup, worth £200, a solid silver round tray with three legs, worth £800, a pair of rose gold cuff links, worth £100, five watches with leather straps, worth £25, a Sekonda ladies link watch, worth £80, a Sony digital camera, worth £500, and £55 cash.
Also taken were a silver bowl on four legs, a solid silver toast rack, egg cup and jug, a silver plated fruit bowl and a smaller plated bowl, seven christening mugs engraved with various initials, a silver match box with pictures of small fish on it, a Tissot man’s watch engraved with the words Ten Year Hard Labour, and a small Chinese clock.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Detective Constable Jim Guinivan on non-emergency number 101, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
A youth and a man were arrested in connection with the Cherry Hill Drive attempted burglary.
They were released on bail, pending further inquiries.
