Bromsgrove memory walk to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society
3:00pm Saturday 14th September 2013 in News
A MEMORY walk to raise money for a charity which supports people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, has been organised by a Bromsgrove care home.
The walk starts from Bupa’s Heathbrook House Nursing Home, in Worcester Road, Stoke Heath, from 11am on Tuesday, September 24.
As part of the fund-raiser for the Alzheimer’s Society there will be memory station tables positioned around the grounds of Heathbrook House, helping to encourage reminiscence.
Care home manager, Joanne Gill, said: “We are all in the process of getting our walking boots, and sticks, at the ready.
“Memory walk is a worthy cause for people to get involved with and I’m sure everyone, no matter what their age, will have a great time at these fun, social events.
“We hope as many people as possible will join us to take part.”
The walks are held nationally and have raised £1.4 million for the charity.
