Talk on the Isle on Man for rail enthusiasts
9:10am Monday 28th October 2013 in News
THERE will be a chance this month to catch a talk on transport on the Isle of Man at Bromsgrove Railway Club.
The talk is being given by Cumbria-based railway enthusiast David Alison and covers the history of transport on the Isle of Man from the horse drawn trams that were run up the promenade in Douglas, to the electric tram cars, and steam locomotives.
Mr Alison has been to the island many times as an enthusiast and tour leader, and calls the island an enthusiast’s dream destination. This will be his third visit to Bromsgrove Railway Club.
The talk is taking place in St Godwald’s Church Hall in Aston Fields from 7.15pm on Wednesday, November 13, and there will also be a book stall and refreshments.
For more information contact the club on 01527 873800.
