Bromsgrove burglar steals £1,000 designer holdall
12:00pm Tuesday 29th October 2013 in News
A TRAVEL holdall worth more than £1,000 was stolen along with hundreds of pounds of electrical items in a Bromsgrove burglary.
The Louis Vuitton designer travel holdall in a classic gold and brown design and worth £1,380, was taken by a thief who crept into an insecure property in Willow Close between 9.30am and 3.15pm, on Monday, October 21.
The burglar also stole a silver and white Apple iPad, worth £400, a £200 Kindle Fire HD in a pink case, a black Toshiba laptop, worth £400, and two Xbox games together worth £100.
Detective Constable Cheryl Jones said: “This happened during daylight hours and whoever did this was able to walk in through an insecure front door while the householder was upstairs.
“It’s quite likely that the bag was used to remove the other items that were stolen.
“We would like to hear from anyone who saw any unusual activity around Willow Close at the relevant time.”
DC Jones added this was the type of opportunist theft that highlighted the importance of locking doors and windows.
Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to contact DC Jones on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 357-S-211013.
Details can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
