FORMER Britain’s Got Talent star Julian Smith is due to make a welcome return to Bromsgrove's Artrix for his annual show.

Julian is renowned as one of Britain’s most popular and successful soprano saxophonists. His career path has seen him perform with numerous singers and musicians in the industry, such as Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), Gwen Dickey (Rose Royce) Hamish Stuart (Average White Band) and on national television with Chris Rea, M People and Dina Carroll.

Julian’s appearance on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, when he came third, was a life-changing experience. A graduate from Birmingham Conservatoire, his TV appearance brought his powerful saxophone talents to national attention and gained him legions of admiring fans.

Since then he has played on thousands of successful recordings, including his brilliant solo album Chilled 2 the Sax and the multi-platinum selling Chill out Classics album series.

His show at the Artrix will cover a cross-genre programme of classical, pop, soul and jazz greats.

Julian Smith and his band will be performing on Friday, December 13 starting at 8pm.
