YOUNGSTERS at a Bromsgrove school enjoyed a presentation from a children's author.
Luke Temple visited Bromsgrove Preparatory School pupils on November 29.
Years three and six pupils from the Old Station Road-based school learned how his stories are created.
Luke asked for volunteers to act out roles from his books, bringing the stories to life.
The visit included drama, video sequences and audience participation, to get everyone excited about reading and writing.
Luke inspired the pupils talking about how he had not found reading and writing easy at school, yet he went on to become an established writer.
Youngsters also heard extracts from Luke's books Ghost Post and Doorway To Danger.
Estella Lightfoot, head of English at the school, said: “Luke’s visit brought his stories to life in a way that involved every child, ensuring all pupils will be inspired to read.
"He was highly entertaining too."
