MEMBERS of Bromsgrove Rotary Club have been fund-raising to help survivors of the Philippines typhoon disaster.
Thousands were killed when Typhoon Haiyan tore through six Philippine islands a month ago.
Club members launched a Philippines appeal that included a fund-raising dinner at the Maekong Thai restaurant.
Overall the appeal raised £1,600, which has been donated to the Rotary Aquabox charity.
The charity supplies emergency aid boxes throughout the world. The boxes include everything for a family, including a large tent, food with cooking facilities, and a drink water filtration system.
The club is still welcoming more donations. Anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so by writing to the Rotary Club of Bromsgrove, 21 Beaumont Lawns, Marlbrook, Bromsgrove, B60 1HZ.
