BROMSGROVE District Council's Customer Service Centre will no longer be open on Saturdays.
The decision to not open the facility, based at the Dolphin Centre in School Drive, on Saturdays was taken in September.
It was made after a report revealed at the end of 2012, early 2013, just 62 customers contacted the centre on an average Saturday - compared to 465 on a weekday.
Instead, the authority say, resources will now be focused on dealing with the increasing customer queries during the week, when specialists in benefits and council tax are on hand.
The proposal did attract controversy, and was opposed by Labour councillors at September's full council meeting, when the decision was taken.
The facility will continue to open 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Payments can also be made by calling 01527 881474 or visit bromsgrove.gov.uk.
