BROMSGROVE'S MP has been congratulating the winners of his annual Christmas card competition.
Sajid Javid holds an annual competition for primary school children in the town to design the cover of his Christmas card.
This year's winning entry was submitted by eight-year-old Rose Hogan, from Hagley Primary School.
The runners up were Molly Ashen, nine, also from the Hagley school, and Lily-Mae Mills, aged five, and Megan Pirie, eight, both from Sidemoor First School.
The winning designs were chosen by Bob Price from the Bromsgrove Advertiser, Richard Nokes from Bromsgrove Printing Company, and Bromsgrove District councillor Janice Boswell.
Mr Javid visited both schools, and presented the youngsters with their awards.
“Every year I look forward to receiving the Christmas card entries, and the standard this year was fantastic again," he said.
“I would like to thank all the children who entered the competition, as well as Bob, Richard and Janice for judging.
“A very special well done to the winner, Rose, on her festive design.”
The MP has also been speaking at a Bromsgrove business club.
Mr Javid visited Bromsgrove Business Breakfast Club (BBBC) and spoke about his work as the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, taking questions from the floor about local and national issues.
Jeff Taylor, from event sponsors Thomas Horton LLP Solicitors, said: “The club was once again blessed with a fascinating speaker.
“We are fortunate to have such a direct channel to Government to air the views and concerns of local business.”
