POLICE in Bromsgrove are appealing for witnesses after cash was taken from a High Street shop as part of a distraction burglary.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 17 shortly after 5.30pm, when two men are believed to have targeted Hoyti Toyti on Bromsgrove High Street.

The men entered the shop and asked an employee to help them select some Christmas presents at the back of the store.

After they had left she returned to the till to discover a large quantity of cash in notes had been taken.

The men are both described as in their 40s. One was just over 6ft tall, and slim with short hair. He was wearing a grey cardigan or jacket and spoke with a southern accent.

The second man was shorter with dark hair, and wore a dark jacket and jeans.
