A SECOND World War veteran will be giving an illustrated talk about his experiences at Bewell Head Social Club.
Peter Ward, who served on the destroyer HMS Beagle as a radar specialist from June 1943 to 1944, will be giving the talk.
Among the topics he will discuss will be the convoys off the North West coast of Africa, convoys to Russia and the D Day landings.
Mr Ward has previously written a book on his experiences, From Africa to the Arctic, published in 2003 - based on a diary he kept whilst a crew member of the Beagle.
The talk will be held on Wednesday, January 15, at Bewell Head Social Club from 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
