POLICE in Bromsgrove are appealing for witnesses after robbers stole cash from an office in Aston Fields, threatening an employee with a screwdriver.

The incident occurred at a firm on the Buntsford Park Road business park, at some point between 5.25pm and 5.42pm on Friday, January 10.

Three robbers, one armed with a screwdriver, confronted a man working at the firm, ordering him to lie down on the floor while they took cash from the office. He was then forced to open safes, while the three stole further bags of money.

The victim then had his wallet, containing bank cards and keys, taken from him, before the robbers locked him in.

The victim was not hurt in the robbery, and managed to raise the alarm as soon as the men had left.

The three men are described as all being approximately six feet tall and slim, wearing black coats with hoods up to cover their faces.

Detective Sergeant Ed Slough of North Worcestershire CID, said: “The firm involved is quite close to a truck drivers’ parking area and it may be that the robbers were seen acting suspiciously beforehand or getting into one of more vehicles as they fled the scene.

“If you were in that area and saw or heard anything suspicious please don’t hesitate to come forward and let us know.”

Anyone with information, should contact detectives at North Worcestershire CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 494-S-100114, or alternatively they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
