DESCRIPTIONS of two people have been released by police investigating burglaries in Bromsgrove.

One of the burglaries happened in Marlbrook Lane, in Marlbrook, between 6.50pm and 8.20pm on Tuesday, January 28.

Access was gained through a rear kitchen window and £30 cash stolen.

A neighbour challenged a man running through his garden at around 7.45pm. The man is described as white, in his early 20s, 5ft 11in, with light coloured thinning hair. He was carrying a blue Adidas rucksack, and was wearing a light grey jacket.

He said he was cutting through, running off towards Old Birmingham Road.

Another burglary happened in Monument Lane, Lickey, at around 10.20am on Wednesday, January 29, when a rear patio door was smashed. It is not known what was stolen.
The offender is a white man. He was wearing a red beanie hat, a black jacket, blue or grey jogging bottoms, white trainers and was carrying a light coloured rucksack.

There was also a burglary in Littleheath Lane, Lickey End, between noon and 4.45pm on Sunday, January 26, when offenders accessed a lean to on the side of the house and then broke a kitchen window to get in.

They took jewellery and watches, but police do not yet have full details of the stolen property.

House-to-house inquiries have been carried out, and police would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious or recognises the descriptions.

Householders are being reminded to consider ways of preventing access being gained to the rear of the property, such as keeping side gates locked, using high fencing, and planting prickly shrubs and bushes along boundaries.
