A BROMSGROVE man has been charged with illegal money laundering following an investigation by the England Illegal Money Lending Team.
The suspected loan shark was arrested after the team, who work in partnership with Worcestershire Regulatory Service and West Mercia Police, executed a warrant at his home in October.
During the search cash, documentation and other evidence were seized.
The 48-year-old man is due to make his first appearance at Redditch Magistrates Court on Tuesday, February 25.
Councillor Lucy Hodgson, chairman of the Worcestershire Regulatory Services Joint Committee, said: “Loan sharks can make people’s lives a misery, preying on the vulnerable.
“We will continue to work to make sure these offenders are caught.”
