THE Primrose Hospice in Bromsgrove has received a donation to help develop a children’s garden.
A garden has been designed for the charity by award-winning local designer Olivia Kirk, and is intended to offer a safe haven for children to help them explore their feelings whilst dealing with bereavements.
The garden will take children on a journey along a winding path, past a sleeping dragon to a fire pit, which will double as a barbecue.
There will be an area where they can take part in quiet and noisy exploratory work to help them express their feelings in a positive way, and a water feature where children can display decorated stones they’ve painted in memory of a loved one.
Ms Kirk is eager to let the local community get involved with the project, and use the garden to let people find out more about the charity and the services it offers.
Anyone who wants to get involved in the project, should contact Lotte Coles at KKE Architects on 01905 358626.
