MEMBERS of a Bromsgrove choir have taken part in a world record attempt.
The town branch of Rock Choir was involved in SignHealth’s sign2sing record challenge for the most people singing the same song whilst using sign language.
Christa Hugo, Rock Choir leader for Bromsgrove, said: “We really enjoyed taking part in sign2sing.
“During the event all of our members sang and signed True Colours by Cyndi Lauper. Learning to sign as well as sing added a new and very interesting element to the song and everybody really rose to the challenge.”
During the event, which took place on Tuesday, February 4, members were invited to donate to SignHealth, which needs funds to help improve the health and wellbeing of profoundly deaf people and give them equal access and opportunities.
Bromsgrove Rock Choir has been running since September 2012. Members rehearse at All Saints Church Hall, Burcot Lane, during term time on Tuesdays from 8pm to 9.30pm. Visit rockchoir.com or call 01252714276 for more information.
