BROMSGROVE market has moved to a temporary new home while the High Street regeneration work takes place.
The market needed to move as High Street could not host stalls during the work, scheduled to be completed by mid-July.
It is now being located at the area fronting ASDA, near Market Street, and will potentially also be in Mill Lane.
The first market has been held for the first time at the new location today, (February 18), and will now be based there on market days; Tuesdays, Friday and Saturdays.
Councillor Rita Dent, ward member for the town centre, said: “The improvement works are really important but it is the council’s intention to continue to provide a market whilst they are taking place.
"We hope that as the works are gradually completed the traders can return to High Street before the final completion date, estimated at 22 weeks.”
