BROMSGROVE police are appealing for witnesses after two burglaries, which took place in Catshill on and around Valentine’s Day.

The first burglary occurred in Oak Apple Road at some point between 6.30am and 9pm on Friday, February 14. Glass was smashed in the rear door of a property, and items taken included an iPad 4 in a purple faux suede cover, and a number of items of jewellery, including three bracelets in gold and white gold, one with a teddy bear charm, a white gold necklace, a silver Guess watch, a gold crucifix and a gold St Christopher.

The second burglary took place in nearby Acton Road sometime between 4pm on Friday, February 14 and 11.15am on Sunday, February 16, when a sliding door at the rear of a property was forced. An grey iPod classic was stolen, along with a Gear sound dock, which is described as being splattered with white paint.

Detective constable Mark Lazenby of West Mercia Police, said: “Burglaries can have an enormous impact on householders and the victim of the first burglary in particular has been extremely distressed by it.”
