DETECTIVES need the public's help to trace a vehicle stolen in a car key burglary in Stoke Heath.
Witnesses are being asked to come forward who saw a black BMW M3, registration YE58 NWM , stolen by thieves after they broke into a house at Avoncroft Road.
The incident happened between 8.30am on Friday, February 14, and 8am the following morning.
The thieves broke in after first forcing their way into a garage. Nothing was stolen apart from the keys to the BMW.
The car is a four-door model and valued at £26,000. There was various property inside, including a Maxi Cosi child seat.
Police have carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area and are also gathering CCTV footage.
Detective Constable Mark Lazenby said: “It would appear that this car was specifically targeted by the thieves.
"We are urging people to come forward if they have seen this vehicle since it was stolen or if anyone in Avoncroft Road saw or heard anything that might be able to pinpoint more precisely when it was taken that night.”
