TOWNSFOLK are being invited to support a coffee morning raising money for an epilepsy charity.
Sharon Crofts will be holding the coffee morning at St Peters Community Centre, in Worcester Road, from 9.30am until 11.30am on Tuesday, March 25.
The event has been organised to support Epilepsy Action's Purple Day, which is designed to raise awareness of the condition that affects the brain and causes repeated seizures.
Everyone is invited for a hot drink, cake or biscuit, and to wear purple to take part.
Children are welcome and there will be toys and colouring to entertain them.
The coffee morning has been organised by Sharon Crofts whose son was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of just 15 months, in 2008.
"It was a very difficult time for all the family and we’re really pleased that his medication is now controlling his seizures," she said.
"All money raised will help fund the vital advice and information services provided by the charity.”
