IT was a night of splurge guns and pinstripe suits at Bromsgrove Preparatory School as year eight pupils performed their much anticipated production of Bugsy Malone.

The cast and crew had been rehearsing since November and were keen to get the chance to showcase all their hard work singing, dancing and splurging each other.

The school's Sara Bussey said: "Sir Alan Parker’s famous story of children dressed as gangsters is always popular but director Estella Lightfoot successfully mixed the 1920s with the 21st century to produce a truly original version. After all, every gangster needs an iPhone."
