Housing Trust a great place to work
12:17pm Wednesday 5th March 2014 in News
BROMSGROVE'S largest provider of affordable housing is celebrating after being ranked in fourth place in The Sunday Times Best for Not for Profit Companies to work for.
After securing ninth position last year, 2014 has seen a five place leap for Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht) in a poll that looks at the best companies to work for across the UK. And the celebrations continued when the firm scooped two out of the six special awards up for grabs, being crowned Best for Learning and Development and Best for Wellbeing in its category.
The rankings and awards are decided by The Sunday Times based entirely on employee feedback on areas such as leadership, wellbeing, personal growth and how happy the workforce is. It also identifies how employees contribute to their company’s success and growth.
Mike Brown, chief executive at bdht, said: “We have improved our position year-on-year and we are extremely pleased to have made it to the top five this year against such high level competition, with over 200 entries received.
"It is such an achievement to be recognised in this acclaimed national award and we are so proud that our employees rate us so highly. Knowing that this award is based entirely on employee feedback makes it even more special."
