YOUNG bookworms certainly had a story to tell in Bromsgrove as they celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite fictional characters.
The day, on March 6, is designed to celebrate the magic of reading and while every pupil received a book token, winners of the best costume in each class walked away with their own book.
The school’s literacy coordinator, Louise Nixon, said: “World Book Day really encourages the children to pick up a book and read. It has been an inspiring day for the children, helping them to develop a life-long love of books.”
