A PLAN laying out the housing and employment development of Bromsgrove until 2030 has been sent off to the Government.

Four A3-sized boxes of over 275 documents, including opinions from the public, were sent to the planning inspectorate on March 12.

The plan includes possible cross border growth with Redditch as well as policies on every district planning issue including environmental protection and regenerating the town centre of Bromsgrove. It also includes a green belt review.

An inspector will shortly be assigned to the plan and is then expected to lead an examination in public in Bromsgrove this summer.

Bromsgrove councillor Kit Taylor, who is responsible for planning, said: “I would like to thank everyone that has taken part in developing this plan over several years.

"Whether you responded to a consultation or attended a public meeting, your input has helped to make changes along the way.

And as well as the literally thousands of residents that contributed I’d also like to thank all the officers for their dedication in putting together this massive piece of work."

Everything that has been submitted to the inspectorate is available to view at bromsgrove.gov.uk/BDP and a paper copy of the key documents is available to view at the Customer Service Centre on School Drive, Bromsgrove.
