AN ANIMAL rehoming centre in Catshill is inviting people to spring into action to help local pets by coming down to its spring fair.

Blue Cross animal rehoming centre is holding the event on Saturday, April 5 between 10am-1pm at the Catshill Village Hall on Golden Cross Lane.

Visitors can try their luck with the tombola or take advantage of the low cost pet foods and other supplies on offer. Hot and cold refreshments will also be available throughout the event.

Neil Edwards, centre manager at Bromsgrove said: “Not only will our spring fair be a great morning out for all the family, but all the proceeds from the event will really help keep our homeless pets happy and healthy during their stay at the centre.

"We are so grateful for the continued support from local animal lovers and hope to see a great turn out on the day."

Blue Cross receives no government funding and relies on public donations to continue its vital work helping local cats and dogs in need, such as Coco (pictured), a three-year-old English Bull Terrier who found herself needing help when her owner was no longer there to care for her.
