WEST Midlands MEP Phil Bennion will be paying a visit to Bromsgrove where members of the public are invited to meet him and find about the work he does with the EU.

Phil Bennion, who is the Liberal Democrat lead on employment in Brussels, will be at the Artrix at 11.30am on Saturday, April 26 before moving on to the farmers market in Recreation Road.

Lib Dem Bromsgrove chair, Janet King, welcomed the visit saying: "We are so proud of Dr Phil Bennion, who has the best voting record of our MEPs and has a whole list of achievements to tell us about.

"Just this week the EU Parliament voted on legislation brought forward by Phil to improve the design of HGVs to reduce the blind spots, which cause so many cycle and pedestrian accidents.

"He works with local businesses to ensure they get the best out of the European Regional Growth Fund, which has already helped to create and safeguard nearly 100,000 lobs in the West Midlands region, more than any other UK region."
