A BROMSGROVE arts centre is inviting townsfolk to its latest exhibition.

The exhibition at the Artrix is entitled Building Bridges and is the work of artist Sue Scott, whose paintings were discovered by staff at the Bromsgrove venue on Twitter earlier this year.

The exhibition features cityscapes, architecture and scenes from Ironbridge, Birmingham and Manchester.

Sue has been interested in art since the age of five but has only been pursing painting as a career in the past year.

She aims for her work, which is painted using oils, to be realistic and cinematic, and often abstract.

A spokesman for the Artrix said: "It’s quite unusual to book an exhibition based only on having seen works on Twitter, but I knew Sue’s contemporary style would look great in Artrix’s gallery and I loved the cityscapes."

Many of the works in the exhibition are for sale, and prints can be ordered through Sue's website, slscott.co.uk.

The exhibition is at the School Drive-based venue until Sunday, June 8. Entry is free.
