TWO youths have been arrested after a car stolen from Rubery crashed after a collision.

The silver Nissan Micra was stolen with its keys in New Road, Rubery, between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, (April 26), while its owner was in the Balti Hut.

It is not known if the owner dropped the keys or whether he put them down in the Balti Hut and they were taken from there.

The vehicle was involved in a collision in Fountain Close, Longbridge, on Wednesday evening, (April 30), and four people were seen running off.

Two 17-year-olds, one from Kings Norton and one from Northfield, were arrested by West Midlands Police on suspicion of theft.

They were handed over to West Mercia Police and have been released on police bail until June 10.

The vehicle was recovered with a smashed windscreen and a crease to its boot.
