A BROMSGROVE charity shop has relaunched with a new look.

The Cancer Research UK shop reopened earlier this month, after being closed for a week for a refit.

The refurbishment includes a resealed floor, new lights, and signs featuring a new logo.

The shop was reopened on May 13, after High Street work, currently underway, was finished immediately outside the shop.

The cutting of the ribbon was carried out by Bromsgrove District Council's civic head Helen Jones, in her last formal engagement before stepping down from the role.

Maureen Commander, the shop's manager, said: "We have noticed people have been coming in and saying how much fresher our shop looks.

"They have also done a good job with the work outside."

She added that although people have been generous in helping them to stock the shop, they are always after donations, which can simply be handed in at the shop.

The shop is always looking for volunteers. Anyone able to spare a few hours during a week can call the shop on 01527 836555.
