CELEBRATIONS have been held at a Bromsgrove retirement complex to mark a decade since it opened.
Brook Court, in Burcot Lane, opened in 2004.
To mark 10 years since opening a party was held on Friday, (May 16).
The complex was built by Bovis Homes and features 55, one of two bedroom retirement apartments.
The court also includes a restaurant serving home cooked lunchtime meals, a large communal lounge and a hobbies room.
An established community has formed, and an active social calender is available for those who want to take part.
Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid attended the party, cutting a cake and raising a toast.
Jennie Archer, Brook Court's manager, said afternoon tea was organised for the event, which was also attended by the owners.
She added that Mr Javid had a picture taken with residents Vi Stephens, Doris Turner and Eric Yapp, who have all lived at the court since it opened.
