A BROMSGROVE farm is opening its doors to the public for a free event.

Local farmer John Monk is welcoming the public to his family farm this Sunday, June 8.

Chadwich Manor Farm in Redhill Lane, is holding the event between 10am-4pm.

During the open day visitors will be able to see various animals including the baby pigmy goat.

People can also browse the British craftmen's gallery, and enjoy a cup of tea and homemade cake.

There will be also be tasty samples to try in the farm shop, including home grown Highland beef, gorgerous pork sausages and tangy Worcestershire cheeses.

Families are encouraged to bring along a picnic and make a day of it. But visitors will need to leave dogs at home, as they could upset the animals on the farm.

John said: "We think this is a great opportunity for us to share the lives we lead on the farm with everyone. "We forget that some children have very few opportunities to get close to animals. We just hope to make the day one the whole family will enjoy and remember."
