A BROMSGROVE man has been charged with an assault at a Bromsgrove pub that left another man with serious head injuries.
The incident happened at the Grapevine pub, in High Street, at 10.45pm on Saturday, May 3.
The 34-year-old was punched in the face and fell, striking his head.
He required surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Birmingham, for a fractured skull and blood clot on the brain. Other injuries included a fractured eye socket.
Although he was initially in a critical condition, he is now recovering.
A 42-year-old Bromsgrove man has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm and will appear at Redditch Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 17.
