LOCAL painters are looking forward to having their work exhibited at a popular exhibition being held as part of Bromsgrove Festival.

All Saints Church, in Birmingham Road, is playing host to the popular Bromsgrove Art Society’s art exhibition, being held between Saturday, June 21, to Saturday, July 5.

On weekdays it will be open 10am until 4pm, on Sundays it will be open from noon until 4pm.

There will be the traditional mix of styles and subjects on display in the exhibition, once again being organised by Tony Turpin from the society.

Time is running out for residents to submit entries - artists have until the deadline which is this Friday, June 13.

A maximum of six pictures can be submitted. On the back of each picture, painters are asked to stick a label with their name, address, the painting's title, the medium used, and price.

Framed pictures should have a cord firmly fixed to the back, to enable pictures to be hung easily and securely.

There is a hanging fee - the cost dependent on size. A maximum of six unframed pictures, at 50p each, can also be submitted.

All pictures must be on sale, with the church receiving 20 per cent commission - split between paying the running costs to stage the exhibition, and the church restoration fund.

Pictures will need to be brought to the church for hanging this Tuesday, June 17, between 10am and 3pm.

Unsold paintings will need to be collected on Sunday, July 6, between noon and 4pm.
