CHILDREN at a Rednal pre-school have been clowning around this week.
The fun of the circus came to Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School, based at Longbridge Methodist Church, at the end of June.
Youngsters took part in a circus workshop dressing up, along with the staff, as clowns.
Among the activities they took part in were unicycle, balancing, juggling, stilts and pedlow, and the children even had the opportunity to make their own popcorn and candy floss. Activities were designed to promote health and wellbeing.
Volunteer Darren also put on a magic and circus skills show.
Manager Jacqueline Walker said: "This has been a lovely fun theme for the children and a great way for them to extend their physical development skills and learn about the wider world.
"Activities covered sharing, taking and waiting for their turn, confidence building, and learning new words and their meaning."
