THE Bromsgrove branch of Morrisons has removed all trolley locks after requests from customers.

A team visited the store, in Buntsford Park Road, to update all the store's trolley fixtures and remove the need to insert a £1 coin or token to release a trolley from a bay.

The removal of the locks follow a national trend by Morrisons, which is removing 150,000 locks at stores nationwide this month.

Jon Deakin, the store's general manager, said: “Our nation is getting busier and we have less free time than previous generations.

“Customers in Bromsgrove have told us that they want a quicker shop. The removal of trolley locks is just one of the many improvements we are making to our store – to make for a faster and easier shopping trip.”
