A FUN day will be held in aid of a charity which raises money neo-natal units in the Midlands.
Charlotte and Richard Sharratt set up Libby Mae’s Little Angels in memory of their daughter Libby Mae who was born with a rare heart condition and a lung which had not developed properly.
She died two weeks after her birth on Thursday, May 9 as she was unable to breathe for herself.
So far the charity has raised more than £60,000 from various events including car washes and celebrity football matches.
On Saturday, August 9 the optician Specsavers is hosting the event at their Bromsgrove store with children’s face painting, games and staff wearing pink fancy dress between 11am and 3pm.
Store director at Specsavers in Bromsgrove Mark Gibson, said: “This is a cause which is particularly close to our hearts as the charity works to supply resources to local neo-natal units, providing care for babies who are ill or born prematurely.
“In the past we have supported charities such as the British Heart Foundation and Bliss, and we are proud to now lend our support to Libby Mae’s Little Angels.”
