THE Bromsgrove branch of the Blue Cross is holding its next family fun day raising money for charity this weekend.

The charity is holding the Do A Little Fun Day this Saturday, August 16, between 10am and 4pm.

The event aims to raise money for all the pets staying at the animal rehoming centre in Wildmoor Lane.

It is being held at the Blue Cross shop in High Street and includes a treasure hunt and face painting.

There will also be a tombola, and prizes for the raffle include cinema tickets, and vouchers for several local stores.

Tickets are £1 for five tickets, and the draw will be held on August 30.

Pam Hoult, manager at Bromsgrove Blue Cross, said: "We hope to see lots of visitors to the shop for our fun day.

"By raising funds at the event we really will be helping homeless and sick pets. Visitors might also pick up a bargain from the shop while enjoying some delicious homemade cake."

All money raised at the event goes to the charity and the Bromsgrove centre, which receives no Government funding and relies on public donations to continue its vital work.
