A MAN has died and three other people were injured following a road collision in Bromsgrove town centre yesterday, (August 25).

The crash happened outside The Queen's Head pub on the Stratford Road, in The Strand, at 3.30pm.

A car suffered significant damage after leaving the road, and colliding with a CCTV lamppost.

Three ambulances and two paramedics, as well as Bromsgrove firefighters, were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “One patient from the car, a man, had been ejected from the vehicle during the incident.

"Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

“Three other patients from the vehicle were treated on scene by paramedics.

“A female teenager suffered a suspected fractured wrist whilst a second girl and a man in his 40s were treated for minor injuries.

“All three were transported to the Alexandra Hospital for further assessment.

“There was nobody else involved in the incident.”
