BROMSGROVE police investigating an incident in which a man indecently exposed himself to two schoolgirls, are appealing for witnesses.

In the incident, two 11-year-old girls from Bromsgrove were walking their dog along a footpath between Rigby Lane and Penshurst Road, which runs around the back of Aston Fields Middle School.

The girls were walking in the direction of Penshurst Road when a man appeared from behind a bush and proceeded to sit down on the path whilst exposing and touching himself inappropriately.

He did this twice, whilst watching the girls walk past. During the second time the girls ran away from the man, who followed them briefly before turning and walking in the direction of Aston Fields Middle School.

The incident happened between 6pm and 6.30pm on Thursday, (September 11).

The man is described as white, in his 50s, around 5ft 10in and medium to large build. He had grey hair and a bald spot.

He was wearing a white and blue horizontally striped t-shirt, dark coloured above-the-knee length shorts, and was carrying a black plastic shopping bag.

Police say that the man did not communicate with the victims, or make any physical contact with them.

Inspector Sarah Corteen said: “This is a very disturbing incident against two young girls and we are keen to hear from the public should they have any information that could assist with our enquiries.”
