A COFFEE morning will be held at Fairfield Football club on Stourbridge Road in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

After 44-year-old Alan Morris lost his 14-month battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma on Friday, March 28, his parents Clive and Sheila wanted to give something back to the nurses who supported him.

Shelia said that although Alan did not need physical help from the nurses, they were always there on the phone if he needed them and he knew them all by name.

Clive said: “We thought we would help raise money for Macmillan. We just want to get as many people as possible to come and support it.”

Alan was a member of Bromsgrove Hockey Club.

The event is taking place on Friday, September 26 between 10am and noon.
