A RUBERY resident died as the result of an industrial disease a coroner has ruled.
Norman Bates, of Hillview Road, died on October 6, three days after his 72nd birthday.
Mr Bates' inquest heard that during his working life he was exposed to asbestos, that led to him developing mesothelioma.
In later years his health deteriorated before he died at his Rubery home.
At his inquest last Friday, (October 10), the Worcestershire Coroner recorded the verdict.
