MALVERN technology specialist Deep-Secure has been appointed a supplier of cyber security products to the British government.

The company based in Sandy's Road is one of a number of specialist cyber businesses that can now advertise that their products are tried, tested and trusted by the UK government.

Deep-Secure will be able to use the UK government’s logo and will appear on a list of cyber suppliers to Government on the .Gov website. This comes as part of the Cyber Security Suppliers Scheme, an initiative by the new Cyber Growth Partnership which is a joint industry and government group established to help support the growth of the UK cyber security industry, with an emphasis on increasing exports.

Deep-Secure chief executive Robin King said: "This is great news. This scheme is very welcome. We have always been very proud to be product suppliers to HM Government but have been somewhat constrained from being able to promote ourselves as such. The scheme will help us better reference the work our products do to protect an organisations most valuable data. We are already seeing a growing appetite for our products overseas and this initiative from BIS will help make this growth easier.”

The scheme is administered by the Department for Business, Innovation and skills and is intended to support UK companies in developing export opportunities worldwide in cyber security. It is open to all cyber security companies who have a current contract for the supply of cyber security products and services to government, either direct or through a third party supplier such as a prime contractor.
