BROMSGROVE residents can pay tribute to the fallen in the two world wars and conflicts since this Sunday, November 9.

Following the event last year, residents questioned whether it could be altered so that those who only wished to pay tribute at the town's war memorial were not left waiting for the church service.

As a result organisers have slightly changed the format this year.

The parade, made up of representatives from various organisations, will assemble outside Argos in High Street by 10.10am.

It will then move off at 10.25am.

For the first time in Royal British Legion history of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire's Lord Lieutenant deputy will be on the traditional parade.

The parade will process along the High Street, turning to look left at the Oddfellows Memorial as it passes, before turning right into Church Street, crossing Market Street to Church Close, and then moving over to the town war memorial on Crown Close, where there will be a short service.

After the Last Post, Exhortation and Reveille, any wreaths brought along will be placed around the monument.

Following this the parade will then move up to St John's Church for a remembrance service.

After the service the parade will disperse and all those taking part in the parade are invited to the Bewell Head Social Club, where light refreshments and live entertainment will be provided.
