AS part of National Road Safety Week, motorists are being urged to be aware of people crossing roads during school times.
Motorists are once again being urged to follow the Stop means Stop message, as part of the national week.
Worcestershire County Council is using the week to spread the word of its own 'Look Out For Each Other' campaign, which urges road-users to be aware of crossing patrol staff during school times across the county.
Councillor John Smith OBE, County Council Cabinet Member for Highways, said: "It's difficult to comprehend why anyone would take stupid risks by not obeying the signal to stop when our dedicated crossing patrols are looking to cross children to and from schools.
"Thankfully, such instances are in the minority but, unfortunately, they still do occur. The message to such irresponsible drivers is simple, Stop means Stop."
The national week is scheduled to run from Monday, November 17 until Sunday, November 23.
