MEMBERS of Redditch and Bromsgrove Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets travelled down to Portsmouth for a weekend to understanding their naval heritage recently.

A total of 28 members visited HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, Mary Rose Museum and the Royal Marine Museum to better understand the history of the Royal Navy and the country.

Sub Lieutenant (SCC) James Sanders, Royal Naval Reserve, the trip organiser, said: "This was a great chance for cadets to see and understand the past of the Royal Navy, and the work conditions and hardships they faced".

The cadets stayed onboard HMS Bristol for the weekend.
