BROMSGROVE Methodist Centre is hosting a recital by renowned musician Jonathan Kingston this Saturday.
Mr Kingston is the former organist and choirmaster for St John’s Parish Church in Bromsgrove, and director of music at Bromsgrove School. He has also performed with a number of leading orchestras in the UK.
The programme for the evening will include works by Handel, Elgar, Walton and Bach as well as pieces from lesser known composers including Buxtehude, Howells and Vierne.
The recital is taking place at the Methodist Centre on Stratford Road on Saturday, Arch 28 from 7pm. Tickets are £8, which includes refreshments in the interval, and they can be purchased from the coffee shop at the centre or from either Brian Henderson on 01527 831832 or Jim Buchanan on 01527 833531.
All proceeds from the recital will be going toward the Church Development Fund.
