Rubery residents invited to an event celebrating 70th anniversary of VE day
RUBERY residents are being invited to an event where a beacon is being lit to mark the 70th anniversary of VE Day.
The event is taking place at Beacon Church Centre, in Whetty Lane, Rubery this Friday, May 8.
The beacon will be lit in the church's car park, at 9.15pm, so anyone who is driving to the event is asked to park their car in the road so that it is clear for the celebrations.
